About Phoodle

A game for foodies called Phoodle can only be played once each day. It is a word-search puzzle game. A similar sharing function is available on Phoodle as well, allowing you to copy a number of emojis to your clipboard and then show others how quickly you identified the day's meal.

Phoodle requires you to guess a word, and in this game, you have to guess a new food term every day. The goal of the game is to correctly guess the food word six times. Each guess must be a valid five-letter food-related word.

If you succeed, phoodle shows you the time left for the next phoodle and in which attempt you have solved it. Then it gives you the option to share it on your social networks. It can only be played once a day.

The game, which was created by cookbook author Julie Loria, is perfect for fans of crossword puzzles, brain busters, or anyone who's hungry for more word-related games. In her launch post on Instagram, Loria said, "Test your culinary expertise by guessing a food-related term, from ingredients to appliances to famous chefs and more!"

Just like with Wordle, users have six chances to guess a five-letter word—any word as long as it relates to food. That means, it can be an ingredient, a cooking method, a popular chef, or more. After each guess, you may see a letter highlighted in green (which means the letter is in the correct spot) or yellow (which means the letter is in the word but in the wrong spot). If the letters are gray, it means it's not in the word at all. Guessing the correct word wins you a fun food fact or tip. And, each day is a new word!
